I was watching a newscast a few weeks ago, watching a man, who was grieving a terrible loss say that these days he wondered if God hadn’t abandoned us all (or something similar to this). I stopped in my tracks, feeling both immense sadness for this family’s loss, but also stunned to hear people of faith consider that our Universal Maker would ever abandon any of us, would not do everything to heal and console us at all times. I guess, as an ordained minister (ordained in the mid-nineties through SHE–Society of Healers and Earth Stewards), who feels the presence of a loving, and gentle Creator/Creatrix at all times, and is never out of the arms of my angel, I can’t imagine giving up. I can’t imagine letting the times we live in, and the requisite knocks to the soul these times deliver, make me think the universe is not still full of bounty and working to make sure all of us partake of that bounty, in all of the forms it can take. Including love and mercy to all those who grieve.
I believe these times call upon each of us to witness in whatever way the spirit moves us, and know we’re not alone. The Great Spirit/Goddess/Creator never turns away from us, anymore than a loving parent would turn away from Her children, even if those children do things to disappoint or which the Goddess/God/Creator sees as less than perfect.
The universe is always speaking to each of us, every day, every hour, trying to sing into our souls our real purpose, that of loving each other, and of creating a peaceful world for all of us, even our animal friends (who depend on our kindness to survive and evolve). Our angels surround us when we fall, ever ready to pick us up. dust us off and empower us to keep going, every ready to push obstacles from our path. They never leave our sides.
As the season turns to harvest time, we must remember that we are all benefactors in the universal bank, which never fails.
That bank doesn’t need bailing out, or us to worry if it will survive tumultuous times.
The universal bank is powered by our souls, by our very human light, and is always guaranteed to deliver to us anything we need, we only need to ask.
I believe this and I know that even in these times, our angels are on our sides, and God/Goddess/Creator is on our sides and there is hope. The times are difficult, but our angels keep us strong and are fighting for light to win, even as we believe darkness has already won the day.
I believe love is always stronger and light will always win.
I believe this every time I look into the eyes of my sweet lifepartner, and I believe it every time my angel reminds me that there’s a bigger picture than what’s on my ‘little screen’ in my living room.
The times are tough, yes, but our Creator/Great Spirit is so much stronger, and the harvest we are all receiving, and can receive is always golden, waiting for us to take it, because it has always been ours, and nothing will ever change that.
