Inspired Creation

One Young Voice

I’ve got something to say to the whole world. It occurred to me pleasantly tonight while driving in my car, a lucid thought; un-notably present surfacing from a layer staircase passage way along the roads of my soul. When we emulate- without the slightest intent to hesitate- it’s born. Hands wiped clean, eye looking keenly into the creation before us. Light illuminating how nature rests between breaths, on occasions such as these, mountains still, rivers small, oceans filled, and people honest. Our daily intricate motions spoken from the mouths of all living entities, perceived as such interwoven alike gestures supporting our humanity. Among us, rapturous sites of sound lit in the sun, motion set free into waves, matter excavated into worlds. A rock made into a planet. A fire mass made into a sun. The ground made into country, the dirt made into roads. Flipping upside down, all of this, gravity holds it up, to the new sky. Only we can pull it all down, piece by piece, a choice, all our upside down creation, [...] Read more »

AMMA – A Mother Consoling Thirty Million Children

Amma giving Darshan

By Rajeswari Devi   A woman from a small Indian village is fast becoming known as one of the world’s greatest humanitarians You’re not entirely sure how you got here. Around you there are seemingly hundreds of people dressed in white, bearded Swamis in orange, and at the end of a long chaotic-looking line, a plump Indian woman in a simple white sari who has crooked front teeth. This woman takes person after person into her arms and embraces them as if she is their own mother. She caresses their hair and whispers something in their ears. A friend of yours told you about Amma, the so-called “Hugging Saint”, so you’ve come down out of curiosity. After all, the program is free. But now that you find yourself watching Amma repeat such closeness with the thousands of strangers in the room, you feel a little uneasy. You’ve been told her name is actually Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, but people call her Amma because it means mother. The thought of calling someone who isn’t your mother “mother” [...] Read more »

Sue Miller’s Art

“Living on a lake, we are surrounded by wildlife all the time. For the past several years, we’ve had a pair of swans on our lake that nest, hatch, grow their young, teach them to fly then migrate to a warmer climate for the Winter. About a year ago, our female swan met with an accident which cost her life. Recently Cob, our now lone male swan has taken an uncanny attachment to me arriving in our back yard at the break of day, posing for photos while I click away with my camera. He very gracefully goes thru an elegant series of moves swimming up to me, spreading his wings, throwing his neck high in the air and generally hamming it up for the camera. When he is not in our yard, I just whistle and he often comes flying across the lake to me ready for our photo shoot. Cob has inspired in me a passion not only for this beautiful creature but to capture as much of his elegance as possible in [...] Read more »

Communicating With Fairies

krissorangefairyflowers

by Kriss Erickson As energy workers, no matter what modalities we choose to share, one thing we can agree on is that the healing and/or balancing aspects of our work are invisible. They are not in the spectrum that we can discern with our eyes, yet they are palpable. A large part of our work is learning to discern what helpful energies are present, which energies are rising to the surface to be supported and what focus is needed to be of the most help. We discern these presences through intuition, through our Chakra energy centers, especially our 3rd Eye, Crown and Mouth of God centers, through sensing with our palm Chakras changes in temperature, resistance or the lack of resistance around an aura, tingling sensations or simply being drawn to an area of the body, a situation, a book, anything that can be used as a tool or a link to help us on our life path. There are many helpful energy bands that respond when we request their aid. Angels, spirit guides, gods, [...] Read more »

Putting the Solution in ‘Re’solution

paulfigueroa

By Paul Figueroa Think of how many times we get caught up in an argument or disagreement and then forget to focus on the solution. We’re in “Reaction” mode not “Responding” mode. We may be attached to being right, that the other people got the facts wrong or that we’ve been misunderstood. We may even be afraid that WE made a mistake. The problem with these is that our focus is on the problem – not on the solution.   Albert Einstein once said, “You can’t solve a problem from the level of the problem.” What that means to me is to focus on the solution, not on the things that aren’t working. Not how we got here, or what you did, or what they did or did I mess up. You can clean that up later. It’s really about, “Okay, now what do we do?” There in lies the solution!   Here’s an example that will help explain what I’m talking about. It happened when I went to pick up a project I had [...] Read more »

Astro Influences – March 2012 by Carol Barbeau

Monthly column highlighting this month's Astro Information

The month of March has always been known as the time for Passion and Action. Thus this month is named for the Planet Mars who is now retrograde in Virgo trying to take us to actions which will bring wholeness and healing. We are all questioning our path this month, what is our next step and who we are to be traveling this road with. Part of Saturn the planet of Karma moving backwards in the sign of Relationships Libra, asks us to look around at who is on the road with us and that will perhaps tell us if we are on the road which will take us where we desire to go. If you are on the incorrect road, this is the month to imagine, visualize and then CREATE the new path as the SUN MOVES to the first sign of the zodiac and the New year Begins Astrologically on march 19th 10;15pm PST as the sun moves to Aries and we finally really begin to feel the 2012 shift. Happy BIRTHDAY Pisces [...] Read more »

Who Are the 1%?

owsiwant

by Janice Van Cleve If the Occupy Wall Street movement has accomplished anything so far, it is to underscore the huge income disparity in this country and indeed around the world.  Framing the message as a simple, direct contrast between the 1% and the 99% is clever, compelling, and really catching on. By any measure, most of us can identify with the 99%.  Did you get a government bailout in the last three years?  No?  You are in the 99%. Did you receive a ginormus bonus this year?  No?  You are in the 99%. Has Ben Bernanke (chair of the Federal Reserve) or Timothy Geitner (US Treasury Secretary) cut you any sweetheart deals lately?  No?  You are in the 99%.  Did you recently buy an election or a senator?  No?  You are in the 99%. Very smartly, the Occupy Wall Street movement has positioned itself as the spearhead of the vast majority of Americans.  While we may not be camped out in front of City Hall or marching in the streets, we can hear that [...] Read more »

Make Your Holidays Magical

holidaymagic1

By Dr. Kacie Crisp  Have you been hearing year after year about how magical and special the holiday season is supposed to be?  How well have you managed to make YOUR holidays measure up to that ideal? What if it were easier than you imagined to turn this season and its unavoidable stresses into something really magical? A great place to start is with taking a look at what real magic is.  Dr. Dain Heer of Access Consciousness has quite a different definition from those you may have heard:  “Magic is when what you would like to have in your life actually shows up and you are willing to have it.” How do you move from the hamster wheel of trying to make your holiday season have the magic it’s supposed to have to having a life of “those moments when everything fell into place with such ease that it’s like living as magic?” Dr. Heer has a number of tools that can assist you with this. The first step in getting off the hamster [...] Read more »

Thanksgiving Survival Skills

tdaypic1

Going home for the holidays doesn’t have to be fattening, but for thousands of people, “overeating” and “Thanksgiving” are synonymous. It happens every year when Judy, a 38-year-old bank manager from Seattle, arrives at her parents’ Cincinnati home for her annual one-week holiday visit. “I instantly feel like a gangly, know-nothing little girl,” says Judy. “Mom’s always telling me to eat, eat! Dad pressures me to settle down and get married.” By the time Judy returns to Seattle, her self-confidence is usually shaken, and her weight is up by ten pounds. Millions of people “go home again” each holiday season, but most family reunions bear little resemblance to the warm family embraces portrayed in the closing scene of the movie, It’s a Wonderful Life. The strong emotions brought on by spending holidays with relatives encourages some people to overeat. Many people associate food with holidays. Childhood memories of feeling loved, safe, and happy intertwine with thoughts of Christmas cookies, Passover treats, or Thanksgiving feasts. As adults we turn to those foods for comfort, especially when [...] Read more »

What Someone Else Thinks of You is None of Your Business

JulieHutslar

This can be very hard to actually live because as soon as someone begins to withdraw their love, communication or attention towards us, we tend to get all fidgety about it as if it DOES have something to do with us. We aren’t getting our energy fix. But let’s look at what really is going on. When someone has a response to you, your thoughts, your behaviors or your actions, what really is going on? Someone else, other than you, is experiencing life. It just happens to be the kind of life you may not want, but who are you to say what and how someone else chooses to experience life? After all, there are truly an infinite number of possible expressions of creation energy available, so it would make sense that sometimes others close to you may choose experiences that don’t please you. Don’t you remember those very accurate lyrics of old~ You can’t please everyone, so you got to please yourself? Author of “Loving What Is”, Byron Katie, says there are three kinds [...] Read more »
